Stands in the hills ten miles from   the sea and is noted for the Moorish style chimneys that crown the white washed houses below. It is also well know for its intricate brass and copper work as well as leather and embroidery. The remains of a Moorish castle dominate the centre of the old town.

Loule market is a must on a Saturday morning, this is a local market selling local produce, from fresh figs to live chickens and every thing in between, but even on a non-market day it is well worth a walk around the many small lanes and local shops.
